We have extensive experience across a range of industries
Rawson Consulting draws on the extensive experience of its team, who for the past 15 years have successfully delivered business consultancy and project management solutions to an extensive range of public and private sector organisations across New Zealand.
These have included large public sector organisations such as; Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Ministry of Social Development and MidCentral District Health Board; academic institutions including Victoria University of Wellington and the Universal College of Learning, and smaller organisations such as Master Builders Association, the Human Rights Commission and Te Kohanga Reo National Trust. We also have experience working in the banking and fast moving consumer goods sectors.

Nigel Rawson
Director & Principal Consultant
Rawson Consulting draws on the extensive experience of its Director, Nigel Rawson, who for the past 15 years has successfully delivered business consultancy and project management solutions to a wide range of public and private sector organisations across New Zealand. Nigel has a strong and broad level of experience across a range of skill sets including client relationship and engagement management, programme and project management, business process reviews and business analysis, business case development and information management. He has over a decade's experience in management consultancy at Principal and Senior Consultant level and over 15 years’ experience in project management and information management. Previous engagements have included large public sector organisations such as ACC, the Ministry of Social Development and Fire and Emergency New Zealand, academic institutions including Victoria University of Wellington and the Universal College of Learning, and smaller organisations such as the Human Rights Commission and Te Kōhanga Reo National Trust. Simon Elston
Programme Manager & Senior Project Manager
Simon is a pragmatic leader with extensive experience delivering strategic transformation initiatives across a range of business functions - including Information Communication Technology (ICT), Finance and Risk. He is an effective and collaborative communicator and an experienced influencer. Simon has extensive skills and experience in: •Programme Management functions: Simon has led complex transformation initiatives, often working with multi-disciplinary and at times distributed teams. •Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: Simon has broad experience in formulating and implementing programme governance to ensure adequate monitoring, control and steering of projects to support the realisation of agreed outcomes at a DCE level within Government and Exec Leadership Team level in the private sector. •Vendor Management: Extensive experience managing multiple and large-scale vendors through selection and delivery in both the private and public (All of Government) sectors. •Knowledge of Risk business function: Experience and knowledge as it relates to Credit and Operational Risk functional domains, including credit modelling and capital calculations, such that Simon can talk to and understand the language of the business. •Information Communications Technology: Wide knowledge of various ICT domains and considerable experience leading ICT teams, including cloud services adoption, application development, service desk, data warehousing and infrastructure management functions.

Thomas is an accomplished business improvement consultant and senior project manager with over thirteen years consulting experience and a proven track record of delivering improved business results and realisation of benefits to clients. He is skilled in reviewing and optimising business processes and assessing and implementing solutions to deliver business outcomes. Thomas is also a Chartered Accountant. Thomas is a strategic thinker who recognises the operational provisions required make strategies work by bringing together people behaviour and systems and business processes to solve difficult issues. He is a skilled facilitator adept at guiding, assisting, and educating clients to gain common knowledge and insights using a collaborative approach and acting with utmost integrity. Thomas has held roles at: •Project Manager 3DHB FPIM Project: Thomas was responsible for scoping and developing the business case to implement a Finance system (FMIS) for the three Wellington region District Health Boards. This then led to procurement management and the successful delivery of three instances of an FMIS at different time intervals. •Programme Manager, Oranga Tamariki: Thomas was responsible for scoping and developing the business case to implement a Finance system (FMIS) for the Ministry. •Business Consultant, Probity Consulting: Thomas had an extensive career as a consultant specialising in ERP and FMIS scoping, requirement gathering, procurement management and delivery implementation for a range of public and private sector client including the Office of the Auditor General and New Zealand Customs. •Manager, Finance Systems, Department of Conservation: Thomas led DoC’s finance systems team •Continuous Improvement Analyst, Ministry of Justice: Thomas led a continuous business process improvement initiative across different functional areas of the Ministry. •Commercial Director, Deloitte: Thomas was a Commercial Director at Deloitte.

Keith creates strong completion criteria to ensure the business gets what it expects and needs. Keith has taught Business Analysis tools and techniques to thousands of people in over fifty countries. He is equally comfortable working with senior management, business reps, IT, clients, and suppliers across multiple cultures.
